Does anyone actually enjoy math? Or do people just want the bragging rights and money that come with careers that utilize math?

i've always been curious about what people find enjoyable about it. I've tried going through math textbooks and understanding concepts and whatnot, but the whole process just feels kinda tedious. Finally solving the problems is fun, yeah, but for whatever reason i can't stay engaged.

It was one of my favorite classes in school because I was really good at it and liked helping people by using different explanations.
I have no interest in working in a math based field and are perfectly happy sticking to the basic shit I use in electrical and machining.

You'll get a lot of folks saying that they enjoy the elegance of a beautiful theorem, that they enjoy the rush of solving a moderately difficult problem in a textbook, yada yada -- but really what the typical math freak on /sci/ wants is to solve something like RH or GC and revel in the total intellectual domination of that, along with forming a harem of 19-year-old Japanese and South Korean pussy with girls who want their offspring to "do good study."

I used to enjoy it until the alphabets, angles and greek letter beat the shit out of me.
Add to that, my country's education system is designed to suck every bit of joy out of learning. So, not just maths, but they managed to make me hate my other previously loved subjects like physics, biology, computer science.

I like doing things that happen to involve using math. I also like to teach people how to solve using math and figuring out better ways to solve things through math.

But I know many people who genuinely like doing math. Math is a game just like sudoku or crosswords for them.
