... not. It's still a 2D layout in effect, which limits interconnectivity (got to route stuff off-chip and so on). The bigger the die, the longer the pathways, the bigger the connectors (compared to the connectors etcetera off-chip - their length and speed - on-chip paths aren't that long BUT they get in the way).
In the end it's still a 2D binary piece, just bigger.
