what are the best books to get into genomics, genome engineering? Designing a website, a sports car or a sneaker would be pretty neat, but nothing can beat designing a streamlined beast that's living and breathing.

Well, even a lifetime might be too short to gain a perfect understanding of such a complex topic, and I have to start from almost zero (I'm in IT).
