So I've seen plenty of data across various studies that show that women who have a promiscuous past have a far larger chance of divorce than otherwise. Pic related, study from the "Heritage Foundation" but their numbers are from the CDC national survey so the sample size is huge.

I was wondering, is there any literature as to what causes this correlation?
I've seen a lot of posts saying things like "they lose the ability to pair-bond" but I feel like that's just speculation.
