Are you white/asian cis-male and heterosexual? tldr you can't. If you are anything outside the above just google 'mentorship grant programs *your identities*' and you will find several hundred for each different type of identity. They will present you with mentors and free grants to help you jump start your career. This black girl in my grad program has 20+ of these listed on her CV (I'm actually under-exaggerating), you can just apply to as many as you want to farm the free money continually even if you don't want mentorship.

If you are white/asian you have to be rich to get mentorship.

4chan is a represebtation of reality. Most people are repeaters including scientist that repeat stale memes.
In 20 years of life u may meet 3 enlighten ones if ur at the upper echelon of IQ. Most normies will never even meet one in their life.

I just did a masters in CS and my advisor was kind of absent the whole time.

Now I'm about to do PhD and I hope I'll get more guidance.

Yeah it's kind of a gamble. Even if your advisor is a good person and interested in you and your project, they might just have zero time because academia is a big meme. Hard to tell in advance unless you can grill their other students or something.
