What retard told them that?

There's no herd immunity for a coronavirus, whether natural or vaccinated, and even if it stops transmission by ~50%, your R0 is still around 3 compared to 6, which is still bad and only NPIs will stop exponential. The only way out, is to eradicate it, as temporary reduction in severity, just gives you another several months until you're back to square one where the vaccines don't work.

The world will realize this eventually. The virus is also showing us what it favors in its mutational landscape. Expect mutants to rise in severity until it gets to a point where it can't be hidden.

Exactly, there's absolutely no logic to vaccinating young people if it doesn't contribute to herd immunity OR they are classed as vulnerable like a cancer patient or something similar. People in my circles are starting to apply to get the Astra because ??? they've been memed into thinking it's a cure all when it's not

My sister is in cardiology and she's telling me the media is not reporting on the true numbers of people left injured by astra zeneca. Two people at her hospital had strokes and one is paralysed, both young women. Do not take it.

You know AZ as a company is nowhere near as bad as Pfizer, Moderna or J&J, right? For one thing, their hands are tied by Oxford uni so they can’t even turn a profit from the vaccine. And if you’ve seen that info graphic that compares all the fucked up things these companies have done, the only thing listed for AZ is that their vaccine has caused blood clots.

The AZ uses the actual viral spike, so if that gets into the bloodstream, you can be in trouble. It "should" be membrane-bound at the injection site (transmembrane anchors), but there's been a trickle of data putting that into question.
The mRNA vaxes (and I believe the J&J vax) don't use the actual viral spike (prefusion stability from 2P proline substitutions) and "shouldn't" be able to wreak havoc at ACE2 sites if they enter the bloodstream.
This is why adverse events for AZ (TTS, vascular damage) seem to be spike-driven, whereas adverse events for the mRNA vaxes (myocarditis) seem to be autoimmune-driven.

But this year only one Australian has died of covid, an 80-something who caught it in the Phillipines and died in Queensland on return, while two Australians have died of AstraZeneca linked TTS bloodclots, and a third who recently got the AZ vaccine in Australia just died of TTS bloodclots in the UK. Because of lockdowns the risk of covid is so low that the vaccine, in actuality, had presented a greater safety risk in the first half of 2021, at the cost of economic damage and becoming a hermit kingdom.

They've bought them, it's a question of supply. Pfizer have limited production, both Trump and Biden banned exports untill recently so they all had to come from Europe, and other countries have had more pressing needs with actual outbreaks so they have gotten priority. AZ can be made here and we have virtually unlimited supply of it now.

It would perfectly accord with what the TGA is reporting, there have been 46 to 69 cases of AZ bloodclots so far:

Medical people have a private insider messaging system of norms and warning based on their own experiences and knowledge that they usually don't publicly communicate. In any case it's in accord with the TTS figures as reported by the TGA and also the ATAGI advice about the risks of AZ linked TTS for young people.
