>>13344721People who keep posting charts about temperature during the romans and medieval times as if the state today is overblown, keep ignoring the fact that the world population differences because by ignoring that, you can conveniently peddle bullshit.
During the roman era, the world population was approximately 300M, roughly the population of the US, across the entire fucking planet.
During the medieval era, the world population was approximately 380M, prior to the black death, across the entire fucking planet.
Today, the current world population is: 7,874,965,825. That's: 7,874,965,825 / 340,000,000 = 23.16x BIGGER.
Hazardous climactic change is a serious threat to the species, because of globalization which has led to consolidation of manufacturing in cheap labor centers in order to improve wealth and status of the first mover countries. Climactic change causes refugee and migration crisis as people move from areas that become unlivable due to extreme weather to areas which they can tolerate. This new influx of people in other parts of the world that have been socioeconomically stable, now become imbalanced, leading to a massive rise in crime, poverty, and other problems. The infrastructure in these areas now start to get systemic shocks as they are stressed beyond their designs due to sudden growth rather than gradual growth.
Everyone who talks shit about climactic change always ignores the domino effect of what a 1-1.5C global increase causes, always missing the forest for the fucking trees. Its all an argument in bad faith.
