It's a promising approach due to its ability to penetrate tissue well and be focused with fairly good precision, but by itself it is much less consistent when compared to something like TMS or plain electrical stimulation. For instance, you can use TMS on the motor cortex to cause muscle contraction or relaxation, but in the decades ultrasound neuromodulation has existed no one has accomplished anything close.
The particular research they're doing in this video seems to not be sham controlled, which is hardly scientific.
