When I see dams, I usually see 1 singular row of turbines. Why don't they stack turbines or build it along the length of the river? You can generate so much more energy that way.

Not only that, instead of having a 10m thick concrete wall, you can have a 100m thick concrete wall, offering much more stability and enforcement.
