I thought I'd ask the scientists if they think this is valid or not. Over the last few months on an online game called ponytown people have been claiming they get triggered if a character they dont know well is too close or touching them and it brings back traumatic memories. They claim it's because of phantom touch and they can feel what happens to their colorful pixel pony.
