My friend graduated in 2019 with a Mechanical Engineering degree from a state school. He worked for 2 years afterwards in two different companies making 75k at each (already high). And now he’s getting offers from places for positions starting at 130k??
He’s so young, not even 24 yet. And he’s already capable of jobs like this? Is this what engineering is like? Why isn’t everyone doing it for a good job?? Wtf I’m pissed!! His hours are fucking amazing, he works barely 9-5 4-5 days a week. Works from home sometimes. Crazy benefits and PTO (works at Lockheed Martin). They’re also willing to pay for his masters.
How the fuck do you get jobs like this? He was just some average engineer kid from college. And he’s living up life with so much free time making so much money and I’m fucking slaving away every day.
