Would a technocratic/meritocratic adaptable government further scientific progress? A government where no political agenda is pushed, just pure neutral scientific management where the best of the best work in their respective expertise, not voted in by what the masses think are right but what has been proven to be the best course at the time being, where political and economic systems are put in place when best needed? Would this form of government be efficient or is it just human nature for systems to become corrupted by the selfish, self ambitious and greedy? Are the current democratic and dictatorial messes that we have the best we can hope for now?
