So I recently learned about amphetamines' surprising efficacy at treating schizophrenia. This treatment even goes back to 1936 in which it was of value to "incipient dementia praecox of the catatonic type." (
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/archneurpsyc/article-abstract/648803) Surprisingly doesn't induce psychosis much as one would think. Another study which reported significant positivity for schizophrenics had a "relief of complaints in 32 of 48 chronic schizophrenic patients with a long-standing incapacity for work." and 22 of these had "increased work efficiency."

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12503839/As well a 2010 review found "The results indicated a reduction of negative symptoms for people allocated to amphetamines (n = 16, 1 RCT, WMD -3 CI -5.02 to -0.98)."
