On each row, the squares rotate 135 degrees anticlockwise relative to the shape on the square's corner (or the equivalent clockwise rotation if you're so inclined).
This narrows the answer down to top-left or bottom-left, each of which has a triangle, which is good because there are three of each shape on the corners.
Then we note from the matrix pairs {top-middle, middle-left} and {top-right, middle-middle} that the circle designs are different if the corner shape is in the same position. Hence we eliminate the answer top-left, which would entail the matrix pair {top-left, bottom-right} having the same circle design.
This is correct reasoning. If it's not what the IQ designer intended, that's not my problem.
