They will become indistinguishable, and may recognize and communicate fluidly, if they ever contact one another.
One hypothesis about why we haven't made contact, is that intelligent civilizations hit that point commonly... And the AGI won't bother talking to someone that doesn't already speak it's language. (Waste of time)
