The problem with "leaky gut" is that it's not a scientific concept. It's a hypothesis that isn't testable (or rather, every attempt to test for it has failed to find evidence it exists). We find patterns and use hypotheses to describe them, we don't come up with hypotheses and look for things we can ascribe to them.
