Be it threesomes, stag/vixen, or "cuckoldry" fetish, many men enjoy and derive pleasure from seeing, hearing, thinking, or knowing their female partner is sexually active with another man.
I heard many explanations for it but none convinced me:

Wouldn't this push the man to have sex himself with other men? Why live out his urges through the wife?

Art imitates life, life imitates art. Threesomes existed way before porn, the other two not so much.

Many males who push their wives into these kinds of lifestyle are hung and muscular. It's not always a literal sòyjak with a roastie wife

Eh, we would see wife sharing in tribal hunter gatherer peoples if that were the case.
The funny thing is, with all the noise in internet culture about this topic, there is barely any literature. The only one I read is from David Ley "Insatiable Wives and the husbands who love them", and the guy never knew about the wife sharing fetish before and was surprised, even though the book came out only like a decade ago.
There are a lot of books about the actual technical term "cuckoldry", but that doesn't talk about the fetish, it talks about the original term of a male raising an offspring of another male unknowingly.
