I know that Black Mesa Labs use DalSYS which is much better and is optimized for older hardware (as far back as the 90s). It comes with super cooled laser simulation and tons of anomalous materials practice experiments to get you up and running with the UI.

No retard, this is just how complex Finite Element Method and Computational Fluid Dynamics is. Big Organisations like NASA, Boeing, etc will have their own streamline programs for their specific applications.
