Can anyone explain this? In my apt building the fire alarm goes off way more often than it should. About 12 times in 3 years. All for no reason.
Anyway it's a horrible sound that I think has actually caused damage. For awhile now if I walk places in my apt where the alarm has gone off, I can't shake the feeling it's going to happen.
Worst of all, last time it went off I actually experienced some psychotic break. I fell down, ended up in the fetal position and was screaming for about 15 seconds so I'm told.
I've never done anything like that before and would not describe myself as particularoy anxious or having any mental health issues. But this fire alarm has me stressed and just induced some psychosis when it went off.
What's going on in my brain?
