Still though, if the natural meritocratic rate of say university faculty overrepresentation would be 47% like the Chess champions no one would bat an eye. But due to nepotism it is closer to 87.5% in some insitutions, not just for Ivy league presidents, but some public universities were over 80% Jewish including the student body during the height of the civil rights movements, and especially in media industries of course are almost 100% Jewish. There is blatant discrimination in many cases where deserving gentiles are not given a chance while Jews with subpar grades are pushed ahead and hired above all other considerations.
It is also not as if progress rates has really increased since the enlightenment, we hit deminishing returns in research in the 1860s already. So that would point an oversupply of research positions and a very large body of mediorce researchers that fill those positions so "any idiot can do it" at this point.
Another sad effect you'll see in this regard is great academic family trees that are all Jewish, but actually rooted in a German/French/Anglo branch of advisers. The lack of reciprocation in that regard speaks volumes. Newer Germanic Fields medalists usually break in from obscurer academic families again.
