I wouldnt smoke/vape dubious concentrates, but with a certificate of analysis from a trusted vendor and the knowledge how to read/verify what it is saying, I doubt you should have any problems eating distillate or making edibles from it. The enantiomer is so close to delta-9 THC (literally one transposed double bond away) that there really shouldn't be a significant risk of receptor damage or nasty metabolites

all of those vaping deaths a couple years ago were from "muh government certified vendors" and it turned out to be poison. if you're too lame to make your own hash oil then getting it from someone who makes and smokes their own stuff is the next safest option. buying from "muh government certified vendors" is buying from people who have insurance, lawyers and the police to protect them in case that one of their products turns out to be harmful.

I thought the vaping deaths were from homemade/counterfeit shit that was not made by trusted vendors.

I’m most concerned about vaping harmful chemicals that cause long term damage. Not sure how the isomer manufacturing process works and I know that the concentrate manufacturing process can also use caustic solvents and shit that is bad to vape.
