Anybody get jiggy with PGR's / PGH's?
I suppose while I know what they do I'm struggling to build a concise understanding of when to apply and how often to apply?
Everything takes so long to grow and you don't really get a true picture of outcome until the end of the cycle. This can be a long time for fruiting species.
So what do you do? Take half a dozen control plants, half a dozen in several categories of dosage, determine most effective dosage, then conduct trials at that dosage rate with application on week 1, 2, 3, 4, etc etc so on and so on? Single application? Multiple application?
I could be years trying to figure this out. For one species. For one variety of one species. Jesus.
At the moment I've just been making up 5-10ppm solution auxin, gibberellic acid, cytokinin and triacontanol and spraying things every now and then. I sometimes also add these to a hydroponic reservoir. While I've not killed anything and results seem to be greater than control, I can't really scale this up to hundreds of outdoors plants.
