You can literally prove it from the *definition* of a limit. Perhaps you don't think a number should be defined by a limit, I may agree with you on that, but that's beside the point.

1 is the hyperreal (1, 1, 1 ,...). Since the set of points of coincidence is empty, it doesn't belong to the ultrafilter, hence the numbers are not equal. However, each is in the halo of the other.
