>>13311191I know one guy who is in his 50s that came out as trans a few years ago. I know tons of gay guys because for two decades I lived in the middle of Atlanta, which is one of the gayest cities in the country. Until Steve came out as trans, the only transpeople I knew of were performers. If others were trans, they kept it to themselves. In Steve's case, he's married to a woman and she's adapted to the situation reasonably well except she talks about male athletes, especially young baseball players, a lot more now. Doubt they'll get divorced. Both are in their 50s so sexual attraction probably isn't a big part of their relationship now anyway.
I don't associate with them anymore. Not because of the makeup and way he dresses but because he's become a neurotic emotional mess. Women grow up with female hormones and learn to control them to a degree but he doesn't seem to know how to moderate his mood swings now that he's getting hormone injections. He's on the edge of hysteria pretty much all the time. Seems like a miserable existence. Hopefully his wife takes away his internet access because there's an unlimited supply of outrage bait available online and he spends much of his time reacting to it. If he can't get his emotions under control, I expect he will either get a stress induced medical condition or commit suicide.
