Because there is an incentive in Big Pharma and their Government firends to introduce mRNA gene therepies to the market. Would never get accepted through traditional FDA process but through emergency process they go through with very limited money spent.

Biontech for example is not a vacine company but a gene thertherapy company. Trust me you will see a bunch of unnecessary, toxic drugs based on mRNA that will be floating around becuase theyve been already approved during the pandemic.

This is why we re-invented the wheel during the pandemic and didnt go with the "bread-and-butter" play called "jenner-vaccine"

Because this whole thing is a chance for pharma companies to do quick r&d on new technologies for government money
And the Novavax vaccine is pretty much a trad vaccine of the kind you're referring to(except that being a whole inactivated virus, it's just one viral protein wrapped into a lipid+adjuvant)

Because it's hard to guarantee that it's actually entirely inactivated, and polio vaccine in particular is notorious for causing polio outbreaks
