Vaccinated last month and noticing a recent urge to go above and beyond my company’s expectations of me at work, in fact today I took unpaid overtime, refusing compensation when being confronted. Last week I outright refused a raise, instead asking (jokingly) for a pay cut, as I suddenly felt overwhelmingly privileged and exited to have this position in the first place. My manager agreed with me, and went on a huge rant about how this company does all of its employees a favour. My vaxxed gf also agreed it was best not to take the raise, mind you, we are only saving a couple hundred a month living in a major city. I am only here writing this because I am conflicted, as my unvaxxed gf’s brother seems to think I’m nuts.
