Can't believe it's been almost 18 months and because of COVID everything's online, all of the damn practical experience I could have has gone to shit.
What I mean is, i'm done with academia because it's always full of excuses. Industry? that shit keeps rolling, it costs money so you have to keep at it no matter what.
But academia? Anything just fucks it up. It's just ridiculous.
If universities themselves don't take their research serious, consider it essential like using mixed schemes (like allowing your students to learn practical shit and use the labs).
What's bullshit is that I did my master's basically completely online, and in order to actually feel what is like to see shit move I have to study a PhD, heck, I rather just go to the industry, I'm done with excuses.
I collaborated in 3 important conference papers, and 2 journal papers, so I did produce, but it's ridiculous for a control systems student to be sitting on his computer all day. Never seen anything move with whatever shit I'm supposed to be developing. Hate this shit.
