assuming this is true and that we're in some field we'd get:
0 + -0 = 0 (by axioms of linear algebra)

but you can easily give counter examples where

$-\infty +\infty \neq 0$

Yes, technically the multiples of an integer create an infinite cyclic group. Cyclic as in generated by the powers of a single element. I don't know if there's any ordinal nonsense that tries to justify transfinite behavior
