there is no payment, by the time communism comes around money is abolished (money gets abolished in later stages of socialism)
and no, this does not mean 'everybody does everything for free :^)'. It means money no longer exists, money being a 'universal currency'.
Its a simple thought experement. If tomorrow money stopped existing, and everyone just kept doing what they were doing today, everything would be fine. This demonstrates that money is not a required part of the process. Currently, with our current social and economic configuration, money is required, but it is not fundamentally required for production and survival to occur.
Money, presently, serves as a way to help manage resources.
In the future, more efficient ways will exist and thus money will not be required.
