>>13299383>Do you honestly think that there's no way some brilliant scientist could make headway in telling people that every vaccine that all these countries tested and approved independently, are somehow all unequivocally unsafe? That's exactly what happened with Ivermectin. At the very least, there are many institutional barriers that would prevent the truth from reaching the surface in an expedient time frame.
I don't think the vaccine is going to kill everybody. But I think the current political situation is such that there's a lot of people who could die before any serious alarm bells are sounded, especially if the Pfizer/Moderna vaccines are the root cause. In other words, the political, scientific, and corporate establishment made a gamble because they're caught between the rock of COVID hysteria and economic free fall. And they are now willing to risk the lives of people who would have otherwise been under virtually zero threat of being harmed by COVID-19 by rushing novel vaccines with no substantial long-term studies.
For fuck's sake, we're at the point where the scientific community was afraid of looking into the Wuhan lab hypothesis because they were afraid of "sounding racist" and "aligning with Trump". Anybody who announced the theory would be censored on social media and censured by the press. If you dove into the matter, you would have found *some* credible scientists with thousands of citations running Bayesian analyses and determining that it was virtually impossible for COVID-19 to have emerged from the wild. And yet... crickets. Because at the end of the day, science is more of an institution than a method, subject to the all-too-human politics of the world.
There's a lot that we don't know about these vaccines, and we're watching a year-old narrative collapse drip-by-drip. I'll wait until the smoke settles before I take any of these garbage vaccines (except maybe Novavax, that seems alright).
