I think he's a good programmer who's bold enough to make startups. A very American guy.
I don't know what genius means, especially genius programmers. Some people produce so much that they become very valuable in the tech sector, but being a basement dwelling expert lucky enough to be able to focus for 6 hours - does this alone make one a genius? It's a matter of time.
I don't know if there are genius programmers. There's maybe geniuses who programmed. Say Turing. But they are more mathematicians than anything else, and are not known for coding projects for profit.
Lex is seems honestly delusional about himself, literally a random programmer with connection in the US a Prof as dad. Anybody of us could play Lex's role.
At least Hotz has the stamina to code for 6 hours straight while on cam, repeatedly. I probably couldn't do it.
