GPA matters less than projects, internships, networking, and having marketable skills for getting in to industry. some industries care more than others, and if you have complete dud-tier GPA you can forget about some professions. but these things get weighted by employers. lots of people don't even include their GPA on their resume.
it matters a lot more for getting in to grad school, but of course having good projects helps with that too.. and obviously having a graduate degree can up your pay grade quite a bit.
