i love these discussions when it can be something of value instead of pseudo intellectuals trying their hardest to string their smart person words together. Got any proof for that? We don't really know how it works yet, but we know how to disrupt it physically pretty well, you just gotta poke a certain area of the brain with a sharp stick and that's it. Sounds like a pretty physical structure to me.

Consciousness is neither physical or non-physical because it does not exist at all. Any experiment or observation you could ever make about the physical world, shows the all human behavior comes from the physical brain blindly following the laws of physics, there is no room for consciousness.

It's not schizophrenia. You will certainly find that consciousness existed in your ancestors long before you were even born, and that even if the thing is made by your brain, the entire idea of a "you" is illusory.

The brain works very hard to enforce this. It's critical to survival. The ego is produced by the Default Mode Network. By switching that off, all ideas of you can extinguish. And you realize consciousness is no more than a silent observer that does nothing at all. No free will. It's just there.
