This is normal it shouldn't alarm you. The sleepy brain dream-brew mechanism is readily penetrable. A drug like Baclofen is infamous for making you have 60-90 minute long dream sequels at 70+ mg doses. Methamphetamine to a lesser degree can give you a full motion picture in the dark with your eyes wide open. One time I had a dream so hilarious and so well written on Meth that it had me cackling like a mad man in the dark. I was howling with laughter and in a catatonic state.
It's funny what your brain could serve you while you're asleep. It's like there is a silent observer in your brain that just "knows you" and it might have something to do with the right/left hemisphere hypothesis but I digress... It's completely normal
