i intentionally designed the polandball meme with that in mind, i tooled around with stick figure bodies in one form or another because i thought might be easier to draw comics if the fuckers had arms and legs, but it turned out that just a circle with eyes was enough features to make it work.
later on memer culture added a bunch of cancer rules and infected the format with nationalism and full flown aids, but thats par for the course with an emerged viral meme sensation, i always make sure to move on long before that phase kicks in
