I want to get a solid Precalculus/basic math foundation and am thinking about getting Basic Mathematics by Lang. The /sci/ wiki recommends a few other books for Precalculus as well, such as Stewart's, Axler's and Cohen's. I'm worried that Lang doesn't cover as much as the other ones, as his book is way shorter.

Which one do you recommend? Got any other suggestions/recommendations (I've been told to check out logic/proof writing/discrete math books too, which I plan on doing after having learnt precalc, as I think it's a prerequisite).
