I'm dumb and don't understand chemistry. What happens when you add this molecule, decyl glucoside, which has a pH of 12, to a strong solution of acetic acid, which has a pH of 5? I feel like a complete retard because I thought I undestood acids and bases, but I don't get it... does the decyl glucoside somehow absorb the H+ ions that the acetic acid gives off? Do they react somehow?? Why am I so fucking stupid???
