Studied engineering and got marketing internship. Was planning to stay in business but got a lab offer, quality managment.
Marketing
>seems more versatile, leads to more positions in sales, consulting, finance
>stressful days exist but are uncommon
>pay is good
Lab
>easier job that can be done in 2 hours
>chemical industry probably on decline
>pay probably will be lower in the long run
>more niche so less demand
>probably will be automated in the future
Would you in my position change paths? It would be nice to work in a lab but in the long run it seems a bad choice. Also I dont hate marketing/sales so I'm inclined to refuse the offer.
