>>13278869I feel like the Novavax should be fine. It's theoretically not supposed to get into your bloodstream, and since it's basically a traditional vaccine, I'd say that there's a high chance it will be just as safe as any other vaccine. Anyway, I've already had COVID, and anyone who's already had COVID has probably had some amount of spike protein circulating in them already. The amount of spike protein produced by the mRNA vaccine is not under any real control, and coupled with the fact that mRNA vaccines are newer and not as well understood, I would say it's just more dangerous all around. I don't see why the Novavax vaccine would kill you or even harm you if you already had COVID and came out fine. The mRNA vaccines are sort of a different story. If Novavax doesn't kill you right away, then there's really no reason if would give you any side effects down the line given that we know normal vaccines don't really have crazy side effects, usually. And we've mostly all been jabbed with all of them anyway so what's another?
I think I will get Novavax just to please my boss/coworkers. I don't really see much risk in it at all. And even in the worst case schizo scenario where the spike protein is a prion that will make me explode, I already got COVID so any long term effects of the spike protein at a reasonable concentration in my blood are now unavoidable for me anyway.
I dunno, Novavax seems relatively safe. Surely it can't be worse than COVID, and we can probably predict it's long term effects pretty accurately by looking at other protein-adjuvant vaccines. Most people will be exposed to spike protein one way or another. It's a question of whether you want it delivered via mRNA, adv, direct spike protein injection into the muscle, or via SARS-CoV2.
