>>13272497It does not reduce your intelligence just your ability to apply it. If you're scared your IQ test score will be lower, your reasoning will be worse and you'll likely have a hard time concentrating, but your intelligence (or potential intelligence) will not be lower. Idk how much does it lower your IQ though, anecdotally when I did my first ever IQ-like-test (mensa norway) I was scared shitless after hearing Jordan Peterson talk about hard boundries and IQ thresholds for certain achievements ("If you want to be the best at what you do an IQ of 160 is a necessity) and reading typical /sci/ threads about midwits and IQ requirements, also it was 2am and I was lying in my bed. So very anxious and sleepy at the same time, I scored 118. That was about 2 years ago, recently I solved 5 IQ tests, 4 culture fair ones and one classic (number series, words that don't belong etc.). First one was a paper mensa inspired 40 puzzles 40min cattell type test, got a 156 sd24 ie. 99th percentile. Second one was a Practical Psychology untimed test (though you can't go back after choosing an answer), it was picture based and every puzzle was on a checkerboard with emojis moving around (pretty hard at the end actually) and apparently I got a perfect score which the author thinks corresponds to IQ of 138+. Third one was like a shorter version of WAIS, 20 questions overall, I got bored at the end and skiped some questions and got 125, later I tried again but without skipping anything and got 127. Fourth one was cattell type test, 24 questions and 6min to solve. I got 133.8 (almost 99th percentile) although I'm pretty sure it's a top score because I tried it a couple of times changing answers that could be different and I always got less than 133.8. Fifth one was another culture fair test, 36 puzzles untimed and I scored 146(99.9th percentile) although I heard that this test inflates high end scores by about 10 points, if that's true then my score would be closer to 136 in reality.
