Until I was around 10 years old I was one of the smartest kids. My 6 years older brother was in school and I learned Latin and his math faster than he did.

Then people started to bully me, my 6 years older brother abused me worse, my parents act like nothing happened and am a 28 year old college dropout who got awful grades in school already, I have no friends and am a khv.

Yes, trauma did affect me. Those people are directly to blame that I am not successful in life. Ofc I made a list, but I wait until my parents die to execute it in CS Go.

It is impossible to really know, but it is difficult to really think of any true underdog stories where a broken, mentally ill person has come back and done major innovations. It seems to always be a smooth life-story of good environment/accomplishment at a young age steadily through adulthood. The geniuses seem to be high IQ to the point to where there are typically environmental, mental illness issues but they are lucky enough to avoid it.

Had a normal upbringing with zero negative experiences

When I was in high school I was the #1 student in my school, academic awards, national merit scholar, etc. More importantly, I got exceptional feedback from my teachers and professors (from summer studies at various colleges) saying that I perform very high level work.
When I was 16, I was in a fire that killed my closest friend and put me in the hospital for about 5 months with third degree burns on 30% of my body. After this there have been various ongoing social/emotional/physical complications.
Now I'm in an upper-middle level university, and I still do mostly well (high GPA, etc.), but I definitely don't get the same level of feedback from my peers/teachers. In my experience, my ability to learn/memorize was basically unaffected but it's now extremely difficult trying to apply those ideas in an original way like I used to. It's also a painful process trying to write up to my previous standard. My dad was diagnosed with PTSD after the fire as well. He works at the top of his field and has been having a lot of the same issues at work as I've been having—he can still perform the same technical skills as before with relative ease, but that intellectual edge he used to have is gone.
