He wrote and shared a workable (albeit janky) python library for cranking out aesthetic animations for his style of videos with ease.
For this contribution, he's based. The library is widely used today to spread knowledge to the masses, it's very easy to use. This is what the internet is all about. Then he used it to produce a pretty kickass linear algebra series which was genuinely intuitive. The series is a classic.
Arguments for why he's "cringe":
3b1b is actually super boring these days. His linear algebra videos got him a cult following, they were great for intuition, but his other videos are not at all good for intuition. He's like the fucking GEB of mathtubers-- takes a stupid minute-long video concept and OBFUSCATES the shit out of it until he has a 15 minute-long artsy video. It sucks. You know he came to my school to give a talk, and at the end he sprinted out of the auditorium while 30 autists all fast-walked after him, and he was gone before anyone could find him. Vanished.
