Is there a difference between Discrete Mathematics with Applications: 2nd edition and 4th edition? I'm a complete beginner at math and wonder which one will give me a better introduction at discrete mathematics

In many case, the newer edition has less typos (or even more modern content) and is thus preferable. I don't know your book at hand but I'd go for the latest edition unless otherwise advised (there are few exceptions to this rule)
