in einsteins later life, after he had gone insane and basically stopped trying to understand the universe, there was a high school student or something that sent letters to einstein asking him questions. einstein hadn't responded to letters for quite some time but decided to write back to this student. long story short, he gave this gem of a quote that never gets any attention:
“In a letter he wrote in 1953, Einstein related, “Every individual has to retain his way of thinking if he does not want to get lost in the maze of possibilities."
this is one of my favorite quotes. pretty ironic for me though since the realm of possibilities is the only realm i can bring myself to dwell within. it also seems to be the only realm anyone can dwell within desu desu
