When you plant a seed it grows. That means that the seed is maintaining homeostasis. Maintaining homeostasis requires expending energy and expending energy produces heat. Therefore seeds produce heat.

The real question is, how do we harness this energy to make money. How would you design a seed based power plant? Could you just put them in a big pile and channel the heat into water vats?
