My uni is forcing me to get one (Northern VA is cucked). I can try to go the religious exemption route but I can't see that happening, and I have to submit my card to the school so they can reference it with the cdc database so i can't use the fake one i already made. Honestly just gonna bite the bullet and hope I'm ok.
Any advice on which one to get? Probably going to go for either Pfizer or J&J for the lulz

Let's make three hypothetical populations
A 95% vaxxed 5% unvaxxed
B 50% vax 50% unvax
C 0 % vax

In A there are only 5% of the population that can get the disease. If someone catches it there is low likelihood they will reach the other 5 % as the other 95% act as a buffer preventing it from spreading. Since it doesn't have as much chance to mutate the virus peters out in the population. In population C everyone can get the disease, meaning a lot of chance to mutate, but there is no selective pressure to become vaccine resistent. Finally in B we have half the population vaxxed and half without. This means there is still ample people to incubate, spread, and mutate in; while there is still the selective pressure that if a variety that is vaccine resistent appears it will have a whole 50% of the population to itself to spread to. Kinda like how we make antibiotic resistent bacteria with agar plates that have increasing amounts of antibiotics.

Look up the actual death tolls of nuclear reactors over the years. Both have consequences and this wasn't saying the outbreak was the meltdown but the mutation. The likelihood of an outbreak on a campus with low vaccination is practically guaranteed. Two reasons, I think. One, they want to do less sequencing for the states and offload more of the work onto them so they can focus on other things. Look at the instructions for state health departments section to see what they want from them.
Two, for this particular product they want to have only 100% confirmed well defined high quality data.
Like it says all positive tests are still recorded and there are other detailed studies that are investigating all infections regardless of status.

So it's simply a new reporting period and they've tightened up their definition of what they are monitoring for this particular product. That's all I mean.
They set up a database for state health departments to use which they mention. I don't know much about that. But it seems mostly states are keeping the detailed info.
But the important thing to note is the positive tests that don't result in deaths or hospitalization are not just being thrown out, they are still being investigated in other studies.

We're just looking at a single report product. It says for the next report they're going to look at hospitalizations and deaths only. I assume that's because they feel that will give better overall results because as they mention in their limitations sections there are probably a lot of asymptomatic cases that don't get reported at all. So if they tighten their definition they can be sure to get 100% of cases that meet it and do a better study on those 'significant' cases.

About to graduate so ive already wasted time. My school's policy is that if are to take a class on campus or live on campus then you have to get the vaccine. If you managed to miraculously get all online classes again then you don't have to.
I was hoping there would be a quick lawsuit to stop it but it either has no legal standing or no one wants to put their reputation on the line for it.
