The shamefully sad truth of this is that in compartmentalizing one's identity, you dilute the self oppositely of the intended purpose. If you believe your individuality is of value, making a group of similar individuals can be far more emotionally destructive and spiritually damaging. It's like saying you want to be heard but you gather all of your friends to say it too and as the group grows larger, you fail to hear yourself.
