What is its fucking problem and why are we unable to get better treatment? Is it because it's very profitable for pharma? And why are diagnoses across the globe rising?

Same, I got it diagnosed when I was 15yo. I don't even know what to do besides medical treatment. Everyone on the internet thinks it's just a diet thing or that it's psychological

I have Crohn's for about 11 years now, I am 21 and already had to get chunk of my large intestine removed.
Disease now moved into my ass. I will most likely start with some diet which excludes simple carbohydrates but who knows if it will work.

I have UC, but I eat a greek-style yoghurt for breakfast and every meal after that is as 'whole' as possible. So include carbs, protein and fats with a decent amount of fibre. Cut out high sugar/soda candy/lollies and don't drink the fluoride jew.
Spend more money on food even if means you save less.

Can confirm diet works but it isn't a total cure just a mitigation strategy. It takes ulcers a week or longer to heal. If you have better nutrition this can be significantly reduced.

But I am not convinced the only triggers are dietary or stress related. Sometimes there isn't any obvious cause.

It's a very complicated disease. A fuckton of genes are involved and it varies a lot from person to person. A fit all treatment doesn't seem to work.

At least there are options available now. 20 years ago you were basically stuck with steroids.

just got diagnosed with Crohn's a month ago. Literally was on the verge of death when I first went to the emergency room. Feelin good now though, was put on prednisone (still am, have 1 week left of the taper), and mesalamine. Also been taking boswellia, curcumin, and CBD for more anti inflammatory benefits.
