High IQ is not the only contributing variable to ones probability to being brainwashed. Mental fatigue, trait openness, the list goes on. Someone not normally susceptable to brainwashing can at times be vunerable to it. IQ probably correlates negatively to being brainwashed but it is by no means the final say.
