I think I figured out one of the reasons JWST is such a massive fuckup. It turns out that a lot of crew of people involved in the design were the same people who fucked up the initial rollout of NICMOS with HST. The fucked thing in the NICMOS design is that it was put together by astronomers, who are all retards, so they sent it up with a dewar filled with coolant and the coolant only lasted half as long as they thought it would (astronomers tried to do thermodynamics and failed hard) so then the real engineers had to design a recirculating coolant system to replace the original design with. $2 billion mistake and NASA employed the same crew of fuckups on JWST. Who the fuck sends a tank with a limited supply of evaporating coolant when a recirculating system that never runs out is an option? Thats not even considering the weight issue of a big dewar vs a small pump. So these people are obviously boneheads, but because JWST is an IR scope, all the NICMOS retards, lead by their retarded principal investigator, were involved and they provided the expected results and thats the biggest reason JWST is still sitting on the ground right now.
